Banner Surprise Alternative Project
Happy Day Card
Mini Treat Pouch
Good Morning Everyone! My Try It Thursday share comes from the Stampin' Up! June 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit. When I received my kit last month, I was delighted to see the Banner Surprise stamp set, 6 card bases, 6 mini bags/envelopes, 35 triangular cellophane bags, die-cut stickers, Washi Tape, Sequins, and a few other accessories to make a Banner Card for various occasions. For those of you who are not familiar with this program, it is a monthly creative escape that lets you create cards and paper craft projects using stamps, ink, card stock, and accessories all in one pretty red box! The only other products you need to complete each project are scissors and adhesive which mostly everyone has at home. If you don't have a lot of time and space, or don't want to spend a lot on crafting products, then Paper Pumpkin is for you. Although the project for this month was already fantastic and easy to assemble, I decided to jazz up this kit just little bit more. I used the Stampin' Up! Flourish Thinlits Dies to create a "Happy Day" Card and mini treat pouch. Notice the coordinating Baker's Twine. It was created by mixing Rubbing Alcohol and a Reinker to get the color I wanted. Then, I added Pearls to really pop the die cut flowers. For the mini treat pouch, I simply carried over the flower theme and added another piece of the Baker's Twine to close the cellophane bag. Adding treats made it extra fun. Not only was this project more special, but also the added bonus was that I had a set of stamps and ink left that I could use on something else!
