Tidy Up Tuesday - Organizing Stampin' Up! Stamps (Low Tech and Time Saver!)

Good Afternoon Everyone! It's Tidy Up Tuesday and my focus is on Organizing Stampin' Up! Stamps. Let's face it, we all have accumulated dozens of stamps over days, months, and years. And as Curator of such a large collection, it becomes cumbersome in trying to find the right one for my cards and paper crafting projects. The Tutorial below will show you how to Organize your stamps, using a Low Tech and Budget Friendly method, that will also be a Time Saver as well! 

Organizing Stampin' Up! Stamps Tutorial

1. You will need a package of Color Coding Labels (Found in the Dollar Store), a sheet of Whisper White card stock, and Label Maker.

2. Use the Label Maker to make Categories for your stamps. Then assign each Category a specific color.

3. Next Label each stamp using the Color Codes. If you don't have enough colors, you can use a Hole Puncher and Colored card stock .

4. Finally, post the Stamp Code Key near your Stamp Collection. You can now quickly find the ones that you need!

Tidy Up Tuesday - Organizing Stampin' Up! Paper Scraps (Low Tech and Budget Friendly!)

Good Morning Everyone! It's Tidy Up Tuesday and my focus is on Organizing Stampin' Up! Paper Scraps. We all have pieces of card stock left from cards and projects we've been working on. Some are big, some are small, and they need a cost effective and efficient way to store them. The Tutorial below will show you how to Organize your scraps, using a Low Tech and Budget Friendly method!

Organizing Stampin' Up! Paper Scraps

1. You will need an Expandable Pocket Folio (I found mine at a local craft store on sale for $6.00.), a box of Ziploc Gallon Freezer Bags (these are thick and sturdy), the Stampin' Up! Circle Tab Punch, and a Sharpie Marker.

2. Use the Circle Tab Punch to make Divider Tabs, in the Basic Colors of your scraps.

3. Next, add adhesive to each one and attach them to the plastic tabs in the Expandable Pocket Folio.

4.  Finally, use the Sharpie Marker to label each of the Ziploc Gallon Freezer Bags, with the Stampin' Up! Color.

5. File the bags and your Paper Scraps are Organized! I love how this holds big and small pieces of paper, does not take up a lot of room, and is very portable!

Tidy Up Tuesday - Clean and Sharpen Stampin' Up! Paper Snips!

Good Morning Everyone! It's Tidy Up Tuesday and my focus is on Cleaning and Sharpening Stampin' Up! Paper Snips. These small, thin-bladed Scissors are perfect for all your paper trimming needs. The precision-ground tips allow for cutting all the way to the end of the blades. Plus, the comfort-grip handle and safety cover blade guard protects you and your projects for being cut. Over time, the blades on the Paper Snips not only get dull, but also become sticky with residue. The Tutorial below will show you how to clean and sharpen the Paper Snips back into perfection!

Clean and Sharpen Stampin' Up! Paper Snips

1. You will need the Paper Snips, 1 Bottle of Goo Gone, 1 piece of Aluminum Foil, and 1 sheet of  a Paper Towel or a rag.

2. Pour a little bit of the Goo Gone on the Paper Towel and thoroughly clean the Blades, Handles and Safety Cap. Dry any excess oil left.

3. Your Paper Snips should now be nice and clean.

4. Next, take the sheet of Aluminum Foil and double it over.

5. Make several cuts along the edges of the Foil.

6.Your Paper Snips should now be Sharpened.

Tidy Up Tuesday - Creating A Stampin' Up! Punch Inventory

Good Morning Everyone! It's Tidy Up Tuesday and today my focus is on Creating A Stampin' Up! Punch Inventory. With the Punches, you can create convenient cut-out pieces without any fussy cutting. Plus, many of them are designed to work with specific stamps so you can easily punch out stamped images. The Tutorial below will show you how to keep a running inventory of all the punches in your collection.Additionally, you can use it to see if other images or sentiments will fit a specific punch as well!

Creating a Stampin' Up! Punch Inventory

1. You will need Stampin' Up! Window Sheets, Punches, and a Label Maker.

2. Take the Window Sheets and cut them into 3" x 3" Squares.

3. Punch each Square and use the Label Maker to add the coordinating name.

4. Finally, punch a corner hole and add a 1" Album Ring through each Square. You can add to this as your collection continues to grow!

Tidy Up Tuesday - Organizing Stampin' Up! 6" x 6" Embossing Folders

Good Morning Everyone! It's Tidy Up Tuesday and today my focus is on Organizing Stampin' Up! 6" x 6" Embossing Folders.  Available in Standard size or 3D Dynamic, they are perfect for adding texture to paper quickly. Now if you are like me, these Embossing Folders can become quite addicting and soon, you will accumulate several of them. The Tutorial below will show you how to not only store your collection, but keep a handy inventory of each Texture as well!

Organizing Stampin' Up! 6" x 6" Embossing Folders

1. You will need an Iris Card Keeper Case, Sharpie Marker, Label Machine (I use the Brother P-Touch), the Scallop Tag Topper Punch, and Whisper White Card Stock.

2. Use the Label Machine to add labels to the front and inserts of the Iris Card Keeper. I used labels such as Patterns or Floral for example.

3. Next, take the Sharpie and mark the names of each Embossing Folder on the front.

4. Now take the Whisper White Card Stock, cut it into 2" strips, and punch it with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.  Emboss each one and add the corresponding label.

5. Then, file each Embossing Folder in the appropriate category.

6. Finally, add a 1" Album Ring through each tag. You can add to this as your collection continues to grow!

Tidy Up Tuesday - Re-inking Stampin' Up! Ink Pads

Good Morning Everyone! It's Tidy Up Tuesday and today my focus is on Re-inking Stampin' Up! Ink Pads. They come with an innovative design which has a patented flip-top lid, and a firm foam that provides exceptional ink coverage. Although this firm foam pad lasts longer than felt pads, they do need to be re-inked over time. Below is a Quick and Easy Tutorial on how to Re-ink your ink pads. 

Re-Inking Stampin' Up! Ink Pads

1. You will need your Stampin' Up! Ink Pad, the coordinating bottle of Ink Refill, and a plastic spoon.

2. Take the Ink Refill and spread ink over the firm foam pad.

3. Next, take the back of the plastic spoon and smooth the Ink Refill out. Be careful not to damage the firm foam pad by pressing to hard. 

4. The Stampin' Up! Ink Pad is now Re-inked. Because the top is already built in upside down, the ink pad will stay inked during storage.

Good Morning Everyone! It's Tidy Up Tuesday and today my focus is on Sharpening Paper Punches. With the Paper Punches you can create and add embellishments to your cards, scrapbooks, and other paper crafting projects. However, over time, they can become dull and snag your paper. Below is a Quick and Easy Tutorial on how to not only Sharpen your punches, but lubricate them as well.

Tidy Up Tuesday - Sharpening  Paper Punches

1. You will need 1 Piece of Heavy Duty Foil Paper and 1 Piece of Wax Paper.

2.Take your Punch and punch through the Heavy Duty Foil several times.

3. Next Lubricate the Punch by punching through the Wax Paper.

4. Your Punches are Sharpened and Restored.
