Good Morning Everyone! My Make It Monday share comes from the Stampin' Up! July 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit. When I received my kit last month, I was delighted to see the What A Gem stamp set, 8 large and small gem boxes, 12 mini cards, baker's twine, and a few other accessories to make gifts for various occasions. For those of you who are not familiar with this program, it is a monthly creative escape that lets you create cards and paper craft projects using stamps, ink, card stock, and accessories all in one pretty red box! The only other products you need to complete each project are scissors and adhesive which mostly everyone has at home. If you don't have a lot of time and space, or don't want to spend a lot on crafting products, then Paper Pumpkin is for you. Although the project for this month was already fantastic and easy to assemble, I decided to jazz up this kit just little bit more. I used the Stampin' Up! Butterfly Thinlits Dies and a few punches to create an Angel Ornament. I then took one of the mini cards and Lots of Labels Framelits Dies, and created a full size card. For the gem boxes themselves, I added a die cut gem from my stash and used the Thoughtful Banners stamp set and coordinating Duet Banner Punch to embellish the mini tag. Last, but not least, I created a quick gift using one of the mini tags and the Layering Oval Framelits Dies. Not only were these alternative projects more special, but also the added bonus was that I had a set of stamps and ink left that I could use on something else!
