Hi Everyone! It's Freestyle Friday! As I was flipping through several of my papercraft magazines, I notice that most either leaned toward card making or scrapbooking. Sure there were a few that featured both, but for the most part, each had a speciality area. When I got into papercrafting, a long, long, time ago, I started out as a scrapbooker. There weren't many papers, embellishments, and tools like there are now, but I enjoyed creating albums to pass on to my sons. Then I was introduced to Stampin' Up and my passion for card making began.
Although I am both a card maker and scrapbooker, I sometimes find it hard to do both. There are stretches when I just make cards and gifts, and the poor photos I have taken are stuck as jpegs on my memory card:) Then I pass by my older albums and remember I still need to document events and history for my kids and my love for scrapbooking returns.
What about you? Are you a Card Maker, Scrapbooker or Both? Don't forget to leave a comment, you might just be surprised.

Hey Lisa - I would love to say I'm both, but ever since I started cardmaking, I can't seem to find the time to scrapbook, but have a goal to start up again by the end of the month.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend
Lisa, I am a scrapbooker. I've tried my hand at cardmaking but my cards are no where near as good as yours.
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa, I did start out being a scrap booker some twelve years ago but definitely became a card maker shortly thereafter. It was the main selling point in my crafting venues. Even now, I have trouble doing a creative LO with a scrap page. I like it and want to be more creative about it but cards and gift boxes are definitely my forte.
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa! I started out scrapbooking about 15 years ago! About 2 years ago, I went to a Stampin' Up! party with some friends and I was hooked! We do 2 double page layouts and 4-5 cards each month! So, I do both! But I tend to make more cards at home than pages! But I love them both!
