Freestyle Friday - What Is Your Dream Papercrafting Area?
Friday, March 19, 2010
Hi Everyone! Time for another edition of Freestyle Friday! Today's question is what is your dream papercrafting area? For me, this is something that is constantly in the back of my mind. Most of my papercrafting is done in my bedroom, but I look forward to the day when I can have a whole room. If money were no object, I would want a station for each of my diecutting machines, my embellishments, my paper and inks, plus my computer. I would like to have a mini kitchen so I wouldn't have to leave for snacks:) I would also like to have additional storage for all of my books and magazines that are papercrafted related!

I'm very fortunate to have a dedicated room for my stamping, but my DREAM would be to have one about twice the size!!!! I would like room in it for my classes (at least 3-4 table). Right now my room is for me to work in. No room for class.
ReplyDeleteMy dream area would be much like yours! I would LOVE to have a whole room dedicated to my "sport"! I def. want extra tables or desks for people to work with me, and built in speakers, definately the mini-kitchen, lots and lots of flat surfaces! Lots of cupboards and cabinets to store all my goodies.....sigh.....
ReplyDeleteFirst I want to say I found your blog on Late Night Stampers Blog Finds of the Day and LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteSecond, to answer your question - My hubby to be and I are looking for a home so this question has been on my mind a lot since we get to start from scratch. I would love to have different cubbies for my different papers - or filing cabinets for each stampin up color. I would like to have a shelf of some kind to hold all my ink pads. I've seen a lot of cool ideas using a kitchen island for my cricut and bigshot with cabinets galore. So many ideas I can't wait!!
OHHH I could live with that room!! Did you get my email from the other day?
ReplyDeleteLittle-by-little I am changing over from the plastic drawer system to shelving with plastic containers in hopes to get better organized. I have an entire bedroom to myself and right now the change has it looking-like I'm a hoarder instead of a well-organized-crafter! I've done the arduous task of taking all my printed materials such as crochet patterns, doll making patterns, card patterns, templates, and the likes, and placed them into colorfully labeled notebooks. Because I want lots-n-lots of color in my room! I'm preparing to purchase short-shelving units to begin all the other plans I have in mind.
ReplyDeleteI am still working on mine and I have just started a purge and reorganization of everything. StampNStorage has a video series called Creative Spaces to help with what we are both doing! Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteI get like-new 3-ring notebooks from our Last Chance Goodwill Store (at a huge BaRgAiN that I can't believe when I see the prices in the stores) .... and miser-me buys the apple fritters from Target and I save the sturdy containers for storing those things that need to be contained! So I get best-of-both-worlds with that bargain - sweets to eat and repurposing container!
