My Craft Area
Hi Everyone! In this section of my blog I will share with you tips and ideas on how you can organize your papercrafting workspace. If you have a tip or idea you would like to share, please let me know by leaving a comment or emailing me at lrflemming@yahoo.com.
Punch Storage
This shoeholder from a local store holds 26 Stampin' Up Punches.
Stamp Storage
JetMaxx Cubes hold my Stampin' Up Wood Mounted Stamps.
I take out the center shelf from the 5 Shelf Paper Cube.
Craft Jars hold my smaller individual stamps.
Ribbon Storage
I wrap my In Color Ribbons on old fashion clothespins and put them in craft jars as well.
These same jars hold my ribbon scraps.
Embellishments
I keep most of my embellishments on these two shelves made by Making Memories.
I found these jars in IKEA. They are inexpensive and I can see what they hold.
Clear Mounted Rubber Stamp Storage
This is a dvd tower I found at a Best Buy.
Ink Pad and Reinker Storage
This is the Stampin' Up Ink Caddy. It holds not only 48 reinkers, but 48 stamp pads as well.
Clear Block Storage
I found this pail at a local craft store in SU black of course:)
Paper Storage
This paper storage pouch was also found at a local craft store. I have one for each SU color family and the In colors. They all fit in a white storage crate I keep under my work area.
On each label I have the name of the paper with the item number for the stamp pad, ink refill, marker, and different size cardstock. This makes it easy for me when I need to place an order to replenish my supply.
Marker Storage
With the Color Renovation new markers became available for the returning In Colors. Stampin' Up's Clear -Mount Stamp Cases will hold 10 markers which also makes for easy storage and portability. The Clear - Mount Stamp Cases come in a package of 4 for $4.95.
Reinker Organization
To help me select the correct reinker for my stamp pads quickly, I used a hole puncher to punch cardstock circles and attached them to the top of each bottle with a glue dot.
Stampin' Up Stack and Store Embellishment Containers
This is the Stack and Store Caddy from Stampin' Up. It will hold 24 containers and it rotates on a turntable.
Additional Ribbon Rack
I got this rack from a local craft store last Black Friday. I love it because it holds different size ribbons and the dowels holding them can be adjusted up or down.
Flat Punch Storage
I love, love, love this storage container for my new flat style punches! I purchased this from OrganizeMore and I couldn't be happier. Not only will it hold my punches, but it also stores my Stampin' Up In Color Stamp Pads. Looks like I'm going to need another one:)
Stampin' Up Clear Blocks
It's official! I now have the Stampin' Up Clear Block Caddy for my Stampin' Up Clear Blocks. Each one has it's own spot in the case which is double-sided. Light weight, the case is also small enough to travel with.
Tool Caddy
I call this one of my great dollar spot finds from Target! This lazy Susan type carousel holds my snail, scissors, markers, bone folders, and other items in one spot. It's great when I have a class or workshop as it doesn't take up a lot of space and everything is accessible to my attendees.
Card Holder/Display
It pays to visit a store that is either closing or moving to another location. My Kirkland's store moved out of the mall to it's own separate store awhile back, and while I was browsing the clearance items, I spotted this rack. It didn't have a price on it so I asked the manager. She said I could have it for $5.00. I did the Happy Dance the rest of the day!
WOW! I am impressed! Most of my organizers are homemade!
ReplyDeleteI love the reink dots on the top - good thinking!
ReplyDeleteI love your craft area!
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone! I am constantly trying to find ways to stay organized. If you have any tips, please let me know!
ReplyDeleteYou have some really great organizational and storage ideas. I'm in the process of reorganizing my craft room....what a mess!
ReplyDeleteThank you Crazynanna! I am constantly trying to stay on top of all of my crafting supplies with such a limited space. I have added some new items that I will take pictures of and post soon!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Your stamp room looks wonderfully organized! How about you come over and help me with mine! Tks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteCherie, I wish I had a room! I'm working on it though:) I would love to come play in yours!
ReplyDeleteLisa, I like your blog and you have some very good organization tips. I especially like the dots on top of the reinkers and the dvd tower. I think I put one of those out in my garage slated for a garage sale. I am definately going to retrieve that if it is still there. I already put my markers in the clear mount stamp cases and even printed the color names on a clear label for each case. That really helps my Granddaughter when she has to put them away. Thanks for sharing your craft area.
ReplyDeleteHappy Stampin', Debbie
Thank you so much Debbie! I am always looking for better ways to organize all of my papercrafting products as I don't have a craft room just yet. Since I'm off for Spring Break, I will probably rearrange things again:)
ReplyDeleteLove all of your creative storage ideas.
