Tuesday Tool - Stampin' Up Crop-A-Dile

Good Morning Everyone! Today's Tuesday Tool is the Crop A Dile. This is one of my go to tools! You can punch through chipboard, tin, and multiple layers with ease. One of the most important things to know about the Crop-A-Dile is how to set it for the item you want to do. The instructions came on the back of the package, but if you didn't save them (or can't find them), here is a cheat sheet for you. Save it to your computer and have a wonderful day!

Instructions:

1. Grab your Crop-A-Dile. Determine the necessary hold size. Set hole depth using the depth gauge near the punch. Insert paper, chipboard, leather, metal, or any material - thick or thin and punch.

2. Select your snap, eyelet or metal embellishment. Determine the correct TOP and BASE combinations ( see below) for the type of metal embellishment selected, and rotate to the correct position. NOTE: the correct position is where the letters are facing each other in the Crop-A-Dile.

3. Place snap, eyelet, or other embellishments in the hole. Line up the BASE of the Crop-A-Dile in the hole of the snap or eyelet and compress.

Note: The back side of your snap or eyelet may be bent, curled or look smashed, which is totally normal. Non-uniform crimping may occur depending on the type of metal embellishment used and how well you line up the tool when crimping. Warning: Failure to follow instructions for usage may result in damage of this tool and will void manufacturer warranty.

TOP and BASE Combinations:

Top:

A - 3/16" eyelet setter. For all 3/16" standard and over sized eyelets.
B - 1/8" round snap setter. Dish shaped for all 1/8" round standard snaps.
C - 1/8" eyelet setter. For all 1/8" standard and over sized eyelets.
D - Flat setter. For all over sized, miscellaneous and square shaped metal embellishments and snaps.

Bottom:

1 - Large/Extra large eyelet and snap flare. For all 3/16" standard and over sized eyelets and snaps.
2 - Medium eyelet and snap flake. For other non-standard and miscellaneous eyelets and snaps.
3 - Small eyelet and snap flare. For all 1/8" standard eyelets and snaps.
4 - Cone shaped flare. For snaps and eyelets where the eyelet tube is not completely hollow and for other miscellaneous cast metal eyelets and snap shapes.

Now that you know how to set it, what else can you do with the Crop-A-Dile?

To punch two different sizes of holes through just about ANY material (even metal), set the depth so that you get even spacing from the edge to your hole every time.

Punch extra holes in a leather belt.

Punch air holes in the lids of jars for kids to put bugs in.

Emboss little designs on a card (use setting A-2).

Of course set eyelets!

Make It Monday - Stampin' Up Take It To Heart Valentine's Day Card

Happy Monday Everyone! My Make It Monday share is a Valentine's Day Card made with the new Stampin' Up Take It To Heart Stamp Set and Stampin' Up Heart Framelit Dies. I am really enjoying crafting with the Framelits because there are so many ways that they can be used. This clean and simple card did not take long to make at all. I layered my card stock and took one of the dies to cut a heart shape in the middle. I then ran my card stock through the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. Finally, I added my stamped imaged which I punched out using the Heart Punch and voila!

Card Measurements:

Basic Black Card base: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"

Pretty In Pink Card stock layers: 5 1/4" x 4"

Paper: Basic Black, Pretty In Pink, Whisper White

Ink: Basic Black

Stamp: Take It To Heart, Totally A-maze-ing

Try It Thursday - Stampin' Up Mixed Bunch Just For You Card

Good Morning Everyone! Today's Try It Thursday is a case from the wonderful Patty Bennett. Of course, I made a few changes to get the look that I wanted. The Stampin' Up Framelit Label Dies and the Stampin Mixed Bunch Stamp Set were incorporated as well as the Stampin' Up Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper which you can earn for FREE! Notice the how the Framelit Die gives a different effect when you cut just the top of a piece of card stock. I then added ribbon, a beautiful embossed butterfly, and coordinating sentiment. Tuesday Tool - Stampin' Up Crimper

Good Morning Everyone! The Stampin' Up Tuesday Tool is the Crimper. I'm sure each of us have probably used the Crimper at one time or another to alter an element for a card or other papercraft project. However, have you ever thought of other uses for this tool?

Give one of these "out of the box ideas" a try:

Use the crimper on the four sides of the cardstock to create a frame for the stamped images.
Crimp part of the Bigz Top Note die cut as one of the layers.
Use the crimper to make realistic looking leaves - fold the cardstock in half along the vein of the leaf and then crimp at an angle. When you open the leaf, there will be symetic crimps that meet in the middle.
Make faux suede by using it several times in all directions to peel the cardstock apart.
Crimp the die cut leaves #2 before sponging them. Crimping gives the leaves a 3-D look.
Use the crimper on long rectangle strips to make french fries. Add the "fries" to a french fry box for an embellishment on a scrapbook page or card.
Crimp the ends of containers such as sour cream and pixie stick holders to help seal the ends.

Good Morning Everyone! My share for Try It Thursday is a cute little Valentine's Day Candy Box made with the Stampin' Up Bitty Box and Envelope Bigz Xl Die and Stampin' Up P.S. I Love You Stamp Set. If you saw my Monday's post, there is a coordinating card as well. I love the Stampin' Up Bitty Box and Envelope Die because it is 2 for 1 value! Not only do you get a box, but also, a way to make small envelopes. Tuesday Tool - Stampin' Up Heat Tool

Good Morning Everyone! Today's Tuesday Tool is the Heat Tool also known as a heat gun.I keep one in my papercrafting arsenal and for such a medium size product, it gives a huge punch of power. Use the heat tool with embossing powders, Heat & Stick Powder, and to heat-set pigment ink. However, there are many other uses for it as well.

Use the Heat Tool to:

Curl organdy ribbon. You can shrink the ribbon and make it curly by heating it for a few seconds.
Soften adhesive and take apart items that are put together wrong. Be careful with items that have snail and sticky strip as too much heat warps the cardstock.
Reheat hot glue that has already dried before an item is the way you want it.

What surface do you use to heat your projects?

Ceramic Tiles as a base.
Heat Tool Holders which allow you to work hands free.
Granite Kitchen Counters which are heat resistant.

Tip:

Cover a clipboard with aluminium foil and clamp your project down with the clip. The aluminum foil reflects the heat allowing the powder to melt more quickly.

Make It Monday - Stampin' Up P.S. I Love You Valentine's Day Card

Happy Monday Morning Everyone and a Wonderful Dr. Martin Luther King Holiday! My share for Make It Monday is a Valentine's Day Card made with the new Stampin' Up Framelit Dies, Adorning Accents Embossing Folders, and Fashionable Hearts Embosslits. Whew! So many amazing products, not to mention the Stampin' Up P.S. I Love You Stamp Set. I felt like a kid in a toy store putting this card together:)
I kept my design simple and chose one main layer, plus a layered band for accents. What I like most about the P.S. I Love You Stamp set is that most of the images coordinate with Stampin' Up Punches. Just stamp and punch. How easy is that? I use the Stampin' Up Big Shot machine to do the rest. The results - a pretty Valentine's Day Card that looks like I spent the whole day making it! Enjoy!

Tuesday Tool - Stampin' Up Sanding Blocks

Hi Everyone! Today's Tuesday Tool is the Stampin' Up Sanding Blocks. They come in a package of two and they have a multi-purpose use. I keep several packages on hand at all times!

Sanding Blocks are great to:

Distress paper surfaces and edges
Sand Chipboard edges
Take the film off of stamps so that they ink well
Sand rough edges when cardstock is punched
Sand rough edges when cardstock did not cut clean in a paper trimmer

Try This:

Use the embossing texture plates to create an embossed image on Designer Series Paper. Then use a sanding block on the raised design and it will take the color off the top revealing the white middle of the DSP. This really makes the design of the texture POP!

Try It Thursday - Stampin' Up Apothecary Art Birthday Card

Good Morning Everyone! This is the newest installment to my blog. Each Thursday, I will post a project that hopefully, you will want to try for yourself. It will also still be in line with my Clean and Simple Style. Today's share is a birthday card made with the New Stampin' Up Apothecary Art Stamp Set. What's cool about this stamp is that it coordinates with the New Stampin' Up Labels Framelit Dies. These dies come in a set of 6 and work in the Big Shot Machine. I stamped one of the images from the Apothecary Art Stamp Set and die cut it with one of the Label Framelits to make the focal point of my card. Then I added a few accessories. Bam! A pretty birthday card without a lot of fuss!

This is the Big Shot Sandwich to cut with the Framelits. From the bottom you have Tab 2 of the Multipurpose Platform, a clear cutting pad, card stock, Framelit Die edge down on the card stock, then the other clear cutting pad. Run this sandwich through the Big Shot.

To use the Apothecary Art Stamp Set With the Stampin' Up Framelit Dies, stamp your image first on card stock, then use the same sandwich as above to cut it out.

One of them is to showcase cards that are Clean and Simple to create. Last year, I talked about finding your paper crafting style, and Clean and Simple is definitely mine! It is my hope that you can look at one of my projects and actually feel like you can do it yourself. Now that is not to say, I may still do some things that are a little bit more elaborate, but my main goal will still be, Clean and Simple.
My first share for the New Year is a thank you card made with the Stampin' Up Just My Type Stamp Set. When I saw it, I knew I had to have it. I actually remember my first typewriter and taking typing classes at school. My sons can't believe that's all we had. I use the typewriter image with Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper that you can earn for FREE during Sale A Bration. The button brad and flower image are also Sale A Bration products as well. This card can be made in less than five minutes and it's perfect for saying Thank You for all those Christmas presents you received. Enjoy!

Happy New Year's Eve Everyone! I wish you a New Year filled with Faith, Family, and Love! My last share for 2011 is a New Year's Eve card made the Stampin' Up A Brand New Year Stamp Set. I actually forgot that I had this stamp, until I started reorganizing my craft room. I love the simplicity of it and the sentiment can be used over and over again for years to come. Happy Friday Everyone! Are you ready for the New Year? I am and in preparation, I created this photo frame to capture New Year's Eve 2011. I finally got a chance to play with my goodies from the Stampin' Up Occasions Mini Catalog which goes live on January 4, 2012. One of the newest stamps set is Mixed Bunch which I used to make the flower. What's cool about this stamp set is that there is a coordinating punch! Stamp and punch. How easy is that! I am also in love with the Stampin' Up Glimmer Paper which fortunately made it into the Carry Over List for next year. I used it on one of the flowers that is hard to see in the picture and the 2011. I enjoyed this project so much, that I will continue to create these for years to come. Enjoy!

A Very Merry Christmas to each of you on Christmas Eve! My last holiday share is an 8 x 8 scrapbook page made with the Stampin' Up Letters To Santa Designer Series Paper pack. Because each sheets were so beautiful, it was very hard for me to cut them up. However, the colors blended together to not only make the Christmas Tree, but the presents as well. The Stamp-a-ma-jig comes with two pieces: the Stamp-a-ma-jig handle and the plastic imaging sheet. The handle has a T-shaped top portion, which makes it easy for right-handed stampers and left-handed stampers. Instructions are included with the Stamp-a-ma-jig, but here’s a basic overview to help you understand how it works.

1. Align the plastic sheet in the T-shaped top of the Stamp-a-ma-jig, making sure that the corner of the sheet is placed squarely into one corner of the Stamp-a-ma-jig.
2. Stamp your image on the sheet, placing the stamp squarely in the corner of the Stamp-a-ma-jig.
3. Place the stamped plastic sheet on your project where you want the stamped image to be.
4. Keeping the plastic sheet in place, place the Stamp-a-ma-jig on the stamped corner of the plastic sheet.
5. While holding the Stamp-a-ma-jig in place, remove the plastic sheet, place the stamp in the corner of the Stamp-a-ma-jig, and stamp on your project.

If you have a favorite set that needs the Stamp-a-ma-jig, you can make permanent image sheets to keep in the stamp case. Cut Window Sheets into small squares and stamp images from that set on the sheets using the Stamp-a-ma-jig and StazOn ink. Put those Window Sheets in the stamp case, and then when you go to stamp, you already have your stamps lined up on the Window Sheets.

Happy Wednesday Everyone! I bet you are getting ready for Thanksgiving just as I am. Gatherings such as this holiday calls for lots of pictures which I love to take. One way I remember family, friends, and good food is to make a scrapbook layout. My share for today is a page I created with the Stampin' Up Gently Falling Stamp Set. Have I mention before I how much I love this set? It is perfect with the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper. I used the Stampin' Up Oval Punches to create the pumpkins and ribbon, brads, and hemp for the details. A simple 8 x 8 scrapbook layout is great for documenting life's events.

Tuesday Tool - Stampin' Up Wood Sheets

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Today's Tuesday Tool is the Stampin' Up Wood Sheets. They are great for creating unique and textured die cuts using the Stampin' Up Big Shot Machine. They come in packages of four and are sized at 5 3/4" x 13 3/4". Think of all the possibilities you can imagine using the Wood Sheets.

Designed for use with the Big Shot and Originals, Bigz, and Bigz XL dies

FYI

Texture Cuts are very thin, so they have a paper backing to prevent the wood from splintering or cracking when it’s cut.

I recommend that you use Wood Sheets with Bigz dies, Originals dies, embossing folders, punches, or scissors. Cutting with other tools will produce poor results.

You can stamp on Texture Cuts, but the image will not be as crisp as an image stamped on paper because the ink will seep into the grain of the wood. You may want to try stamping on Texture Cuts scraps before stamping on your project to make sure you like the results.

To watercolor on Wood Sheets, stamp the image in StazOn ink, then color. You can color directly on the Wood Sheet using Stampin’ Write markers, then smooth the color using an Aqua Painter.

Because Wood Sheets are not acid free or lignin free, I do not recommend them for use in scrapbooks.

To make the card base, take a pieces of 8 1/2 x 11 card stock and cut it to 4 1/4 x 11. With the short side horizontal, score horizontal lines 5 1/2 and 8 1/4 inches from the bottom edge. Accordion fold scored lines making the first scored line a valley fold. Embellish as desired.

Tuesday Tool - Stampin' Up 2-Way Glue Pen

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Today's Tuesday Tool is the Stampin' Up 2-Way Glue Pen. Small and portable, the 2-Way Glue Pen is excellent for adhering Glitter and paper. When applying it to a project, the adhesive is temporary when allowed to dry before adhering or permanent when adhered promptly.

Quick Trick

Need a temporary bond for a stencil or mask? Or do you need a permanent bond for a card or page? Look no further than the 2-Way Glue Pen.

1. Wet bond (permanent bond): While the glue is still blue and wet, immediately make the bond. Use a wet bond when you apply glitter.

2. Dry bond (temporary): Apply glue lightly and wait for the adhesive to dry (it will become clear). Use this method when masking or positioning stencils. When you are finished, you can remove the bond easily.

FYI

To start the 2-Way Glue Pen, push the tip in a few times and allow the glue to saturate the tip (the tip will turn blue). Always replace the cap after use.

Happy Halloween Everyone!I hope you have a great day and you get lots of treats! My final share for this holiday is a Witch Boot made from the Stampin' Up Stocking Die and candy bags using the Stampin' Up Batty For You Stamp Set and 1 x 8 cellophane bags. All of these treats will be given to my students and co-workers today. They were very easy to put together and fun to make. The boot shows how versatile the Stampin' Up Holiday Stocking Die can be and the toppers for the cellophane bags can be changed to other occasions.

The recipe for the cellophane bags can be found in my blog archives for this month. The only thing I added was the tag using the Stampin' Up From Your Teacher Stamp Set, and Stampin' Up Small and Large Tag Punches. The recipe for the Witch Boot is below.

Happy, Happy Friday Everyone! Today I'm sharing pictures of two people who just made their first card with Stampin' Up Products. Renee and Dora had never stamped before and were not familiar with Stampin' Up. I held a Beginning Stamping 101 Class with them explaining the basics such as the difference between wood mount and clear mount stamps and the different types of stamp pads among other things. Happy Hump Day Everyone! Here is the second project from my Christmas Giftables Class. It is a gift card h older made with the Stampin' Up Holiday Stocking Bigz Die and Big Shot. With directions from Dee Slater, I was able to create my own using the Stampin' Up Merry and Type Stamp Set. I embossed with the Stampin' Up Square Lattice and Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folders and added an Old Olive Button Bow. Assembling the gift card is very easy and the sky is the limit on how you decorate each one! I will be making several for Christmas.

Stampin' Up Nursery Nest Birthday Party

Happy Sunday Everyone! It's been a very busy weekend for me! We had a field trip to the Pumpkin Patch Friday at school and yesterday, not only did I have a wonderful Stampin' Up Class, but a birthday party to attend as well.Whew!
Today, I am sharing pictures from the birthday party. It was for Owen who is turning 1! Mom selected blues and greens with a cupcake theme. She initially went to Party City to get party supplies, but after I introduced her to Stampin' Up, she decided she wanted a handmade personal birthday party and returned the items she purchased. The Stampin' Up Nursery Nest Designer Series Paper was perfect for everything that was created. For the birthday card I used the Stampin' Up Pennant Parade Stamp Set and the Petite Pennants Builder Punch. For the hat, I incorporated the Simply Scored Scoring Board to create the medallions and the Patterned Party Stamp Set. The treat box was made with the Stampin' Up Fancy Favor Die, the Petal Cone Die and the Cupcake Builder Punch. Finally, his banner was created with the Perfect Pennants Die and circle punches. Owen had a blast and everyone loved all of the decorations. Enjoy!

Tuesday Tool - Stampin' Up Wheel Guide

With this Guide and the Stampin' Around Wheels, you can make perfect background papers and borders without them being crooked. The Guide also has rubber feet to keep it from sliding around on your project and works with both the regular and jumbo wheels.

Besides the obvious use, here are some "out of the box" ideas for the Stampin' Around Wheel Guide:

Use it as a ruler for straight lines or to measure space for scrapbooking to be sure letters of the alphabet fit.
Use it as a guide for stamping tiles to keep the row straight.

Happy Monday Everyone! I hope each of you had a wonderful weekend! My share for today is Witch Hat made from the Stampin' Up Petal Cone Bigz L Die. I have seen lots of these around lately, but this is my version. I embossed the Petal Cone with the Stampin' Up Spider Web Embossing Folder and made a little window with the Stampin' Up Curly Label Punch and a piece of acetate paper. The Stampin' Up Large Scallop Circle Bigz Die and Circle Bigz Die make the base. I added a flower, ribbon, and fake spider for the finishing touch. Enjoy!

New Extra Storage Rack For My Craft Area!

Happy Friday Everyone! My share for today is a storage rack I found at a local craft store. It is very similiar to the Clip It Up, but it costs less and it can stand alone or be used with the storage carousel I already have. Additionally, metal clips are included and there even a clip at the top of it where you can display a card. I know it won't take me long to fill it up! Hi Everyone! Today's Tuesday Tool is the Stampin' Scrub. Think of it as a washer and dryer for your stamps. Cleaning your stamps is a breeze. The pads are large enough for even the largest of background stamps. Lightly spray one pad with Stampin' Up's Stampin’ Mist and leave the other one dry. For best results, do not over saturate the pad. Scrub your stamp on the damp pad, then rub it on the dry pad to remove any leftover ink and moisture. Now you’re ready to change colors and continue stamping or to put your stamps away. Cleaning the removable pads is a snap—just rinse out the pads and allow to air dry.

Tips for the Stampin' Scrub:

The case is not leak-proof. Stampin' Up recommends that you lightly dampen the pads with the Stampin’ Mist to avoid over saturation, excess spattering when scrubbing the stamps, and leakage when transporting the closed case. Replacement cleaning pads are available, making it convenient for you to have an extra set so you can quickly replace them before leaving for your next crop.

Rinse pads in clear water and air dry before first use to remove filaments left from manufacturing process. For best results, use a paper towel or a dry cloth to soak up water after rinsing.

Clean your pad regularly to avoid mixing ink colors.

I also used the branch from the Stampin' Up Out On A Limb Stamp Set and the "Boo" sentiment from the Stampin' Up Spooky Bingo Bits Stamp Set as well. Thursday Tutorial: Halloween Treats Sour Cream Container

Good Morning Everyone! Time for another Thursday Tutorial. As promised, I will show you how I made my Halloween Treat Sour Cream Container from last week. My step by step directions will give you your container base, but the sky is the limit on how you want to decorate it. Once you get started, they will become very addicting! Enjoy!

1. You will need one sheet of 8 1/2" x 11 cardstock, sticky strip, and the Crimping Tool. ( I am showing you the Frightful Sight Designer Series Paper and Basic Black Ribbon I used to decorate with.)

2. Cut your cardstock to 5 1/4" x 4 1/4".

3. Add sticky strip to the 4 1/4" right edge.

4. Peel off Sticky Strip and roll cardstock to form a cylinder. Adhere ends.

5. Put sticky strip on the bottom of the cylinder.

6. Peel off sticky strip and seal the bottom of the cylinder.

7. Fill the container with the treat of your choice about 2/3 full, leaving a space at the top to close and crimp the edge. Close the top so it is perpendicular to the bottom, and seal with sticky strip.

8. Crimp both ends of the container using the Crimping Tool.

9. Decorate however you like. I used the Stampin' Up Spooky Bingo Bits to make my Halloween Medallion for this container and added a piece of Basic Black Ribbon.

FYI

Due to the small size of these pads and the thicker ink, you might need to frequently re-ink the pads with Craft ink refills.

If the ink pad is full, store the Spot right-side up to prevent leaking.Wash stamps immediately after stamping.

You’ll get better results on fabric if the pad is well inked. Be sure to hold the inked stamp on the fabric for at least 30 seconds. For best results when stamping on fabric, use a tightly woven or smooth finished fabric and heat set. Line dry stamped fabrics to avoid fading. Always pretest the ink on a small swatch of fabric, as fabric finishes vary greatly. Be sure to prewash all of your fabrics before stamping.

The following colors do not work well on fabrics: More Mustard and Whisper White.

As with any product containing dye, colors may vary somewhat among dye lots. The dyes are monitored continually for any significant change, but slight variations in the color are not considered defects.

Happy Labor Day Everyone! After three days of Tropical Storm Lee, we finally got some sunshine and cooler weather here in Southern Louisiana. The upside to all of the rain and wind was I got to play with some of my card making goodies! My share for today is a Fall Card made with the Stampin' Up Day of Gratitude Stamp Set and Stampin' Up Lace Ribbon Border Punch. Notice how I weaved Pumpkin Pie Ribbon through each of the flowers. To clean the tip, simply scribble on white paper. Discolored tips will not affect performance.

Stampin' Up Easy Events Watercolor Note Cards

Happy Monday Everyone! I know I haven't posted since last week, but I've been busy working in my classroom with my new class of students! I always tell everyone that the beginning of school is called Survivor: The Teacher Edition:) Not because of the students, but because there is so much that needs to be done. Anyhow, I hope to get back on schedule this week and please have patience with me.

My share for today is a set of note cards and a gift container made with the Stampin' Up Easy Events Stamp Set. I was inspired by Katheryn Lewallen who did something similiar.; however my container and cards are made differently. My ladies from my Just A Little Note Class completed this project on this past Saturday. We talked about the various ways to Watercolor and all the products Stampin' Up carries to get you started. We used the Stampin' Up Blender Pens, Markers, and Watercolor Paper to make each card. The clear container helps you to see what you have, and you can refill it when needed. Never be caught without a card again! Enjoy!

Happy Hump Day Everyone! School has started here in Southern Louisiana and I have been very busy in my classroom. I trying to get myself back into a routine, however it's hard:) My share for today is easy thank you cards made with the Stampin' Up Designer Frames Embossing Folder. If you have been visiting my blog, I bet you noticed that I have been using the New Stampin' Up In Colors the last couple of weeks. I am extremely fond of Calypso Coral! These cards are very easy to make and who doesn't need a supply of thank you cards. I even made a matching card box to hold them in. Enjoy!

Tuesday Tool - Stampin' Up Distressing Essentials Kit

Good Morning Everyone! The Tuesday Tool for today is the Stampin' Up Distressing Essentials Kit. With this kit, you can easily get the distressed look in all of your papercrafting projects.

FYI

To get an aged look with the distressing ink, you’ll need to mist the ink with water either before or after you apply it to your project. The water will cause the ink to dilute and bleed, resulting in a vintage appearance.

To get a subtle ink stain look, use the flat stamp to apply the vintage ink to your projects. (If you apply the ink directly from the spot to the paper, the ink will look too concentrated.) Dab the ink pad on the flat stamp and rub it over your paper. You can mist the ink while it’s on the stamp and then apply it to your project, or you can apply it to your project and then mist the ink.

You can also use an Aqua Painter to apply the ink directly to a stamped image (be sure to use a waterproof ink like StazOn on your stamped image before coloring it with distressing ink).

Vintage inks contain alcohol, so they are not recommended for scrapbooking.

The inks work best on paper that has been crinkled or embossed. Crumple card stock or paper into a ball, and then smooth it out. Dab the ink on your stamp and rub it over the card stock. The ink will be thicker on the creases in the paper, resulting in an aged, distressed look. To intensify the distressed look, lightly mist your card stock with water so the ink bleeds. After the card stock dries, you can sand the edges to distress your project even more.

Stampin' Up Triple Treat Flower Letterpress Card

Happy Monday Everyone! My share for today is a thinking of you card made with the new Stampin' Up In Colors and Fancy Fan Letterpress Plate. Yes, there is a way to to use the plates as dry embossing! I also added the Stampin' Up Triple Treat Flower Stamp. It is a must have as you can stamp and punch three different images with coordinating Stampin' Up punches. Add just a little matching In Color Ribbon and you have a nice and easy card you can make in minutes. Enjoy!

Thursday Tutorial: Stampin' Up Milk Carton Gift Box

Happy Thursday Everyone! I have multiple requests on how I made the Stampin' Up Milk Carton Gift Box I posted on yesterday. They are quite easy to put together and the hardest thing will be deciding how to decorate each one. Enjoy!

1. You will need the Stampin' Up Milk Carton Bigz L Die, Big Shot, Cardstock, Ribbon ( I used 1/8" Baja Breeze), 1/8" paper punch, and sticky strip adhesive.

2. Take your cardstock and use the Big Shot Machine to cut out two milk carton pieces.

3. On each piece, cut off the last panel. Do not cut the end with the tab.

4. Put Sticky Strip Adhesive on each panel with the tab.

5. Attach both Milk Carton Panels together with the Sticky Strip Adhesive. This will start to form your box.

6. Use Sticky Strip Adhesive to secure the bottom of the box.

7. Use the 1/8" hole punch to put holes in the folds of the top of the box.

8. Take your ribbon, thread it through all of the holes, and tie it in a bow.

9. Decorate the rest of the Milk Carton Gift Box however you choose!
