Make It Monday - Stampin' Up Chalk Talk For You Long Card

Good Morning Everyone! My Make It Monday share is a long card made with the Stampin' Up Chalk Talk stamp set and coordinating Chalk Talk Framelit Dies. I wanted to show you how versatile both of these products can be. Last week I used them to make a tag for my son's gift bag. For today's project,  I took one of the smallest Chalk Talk Framelits and made it the focal point of my card. I then chose the New In Colors Strawberry Slush, and Baked Brown Sugar as my color palette. Next, I added Strawberry Slush card stock and Designer Series Paper to create my background. Finally, I added Whisper White Baker's Twine and halve back pearls as my embellishments. I love how my card turned out classy, but clean and simple!

Card Measurements:
Baked Brown Sugar Card Base: 6" x 6"
Whisper White Card Layer: 5 3/4" x 2 3/4"
Strawberry Slush Card Layer: 5 1/2" x 3/4"
Strawberry Slush Designer Series Paper Layer: 5 1/2" x 1 1/2"

Paper: Baked Brown Sugar, Strawberry Slush, In Colors 2013 Designer Series Paper Stack

Ink: Baked Brown Sugar, Strawberry Slush

Stamp: Chalk Talk

Accessories: Chalk Talk Framelit Dies, Big Shot, 1 3/8 Circle Punch, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Halve Back Pearls

Happy Stamping!

  1. Hi Lisa! I love the color combination you used - I have always liked pink and brown together. Very nice card! You stated the card base is 6" x 6" and I'm wondering if that's correct because it doesn't look square to me. And I'm also curious if you used a square punch to make the cut on the designer paper. Great job!

    1. Hi Sandy! Thank you so much for your kind word! Yes, the card base is 6"x 6" as it is a Long Skinny Card not a square one. Although I have used Square Punches to make Banners, on this card, I just cut with scissors. Have a Great Day!
