Make A Card Challenge Week 1 - Card Base

Hi Everyone! I am excited for all you participating in my "Make A Card Challenge"! This first week we are only going to work on the card base. For our standard 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card, we will start with 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock. I am using Stampin' Up Cherry Cobbler Cardstock. Follow the steps below to create your card base for this week. Enjoy!

Materials: You will need a paper trimmer, one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock, and a bone folder.

1. Start with your 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock.

2. Fold it in half length wise and crease it with your bone folder.

3. Use your paper trimmer to cut the cardstock on the crease line.

4. You will have two pieces of cardstock which you can make two cards from; although we are only using one. Fold the cardstock in half and crease it again with the bone folder and you will have your card base.

I only joined the challenge today. Thank you for hosting this challenge. I've made a few cards in the past, but mostly through guessing how things are done ;) Now i'll be able to do them properly :) Thank you!!!
